With the cold, damp winter months setting in, the thoughts of brighter days seems far off and this will be all the more compounded over the coming weeks. However it won’t be necessary to wait as long as expected for consistently enjoyable and productive training weather and conditions; with SportActive’s cycling camps in Majorca, riders of all levels will be able to clock up the kilometres from February 16th onwards.

SportActive is currently taking bookings for next spring’s camps, which begin at that date and run until May 18th. Aside from great training roads, generally sunny conditions and mild to hot weather as the weeks progress, there is also a chance for riders to train with Sean Kelly in April.

The former world number one has been part of SportActive’s camps for many years and will once again supply plenty of advice and motivation to riders who travel.

Meet Sean Kelly at SportActive:

Sean Kelly was the world ranked number 1 cyclist for 48 consecutive months. He will be joining SportActive on selected cycling weeks. (month of April and October). This will be your chance to ride alongside the Legend. Sean will be staying at the SportActive Cycling Centre hotel with our clients and will be on hand during the week to chat about his experience at the top level of international cycling.





How do things work at the SportActive Cycling Center?

Our centre is located in Puerto of Alcudia, on the north coast of the island, close to the fantastic Tramuntana mountains. Based in the magnificent four star Aparthotel Viva Tropic, it offers one of the best facilities in Mallorca for all your cycling needs.

There is a SportActive Bike Garage in the hotel, with mechanic and bike shop; sale of all bike accessories, energy drinks & bars, full range of SportActive cycling kit, selection of cycling clothing. There is a good spread of groups, with four to five different levels being catered for.

Bike Hire : We recommend you hire your bike with SportActive in Mallorca. We have top quality new Focus bikes for hire. All bikes are equipped with Shimano 10 speed and Mavic race wheels.

The price of bike hire per week is 100 euro plus 2 eur bike damage cover per day (strongly recommended!). This compares favourably with the price of taking your own bike at around 84 euro: no hassle, no stress, no damage!

Note: Take your own pedals and helmet. Cycling helmets are compulsory on all cycling activities with SportActive.
