After months of preparation, the website has been officially launched and, this Saturday November 27th, FitzCycles will open its doors with a grand opening in Stillorgan. Offering big brands at very reasonable prices and seeking to strike a perfect balance between size and service, the shop is expected to be a big success.
�FitzCycles.ie is the next generation of Bike Shop, and although that sounds pretty airy-fairy it�s actually a very simple idea � to offer Irish cyclists the brands, customer service and shopping experience they deserve and at the best prices possible,� said owner Paul Fitzsimons.
�FitzCycles.ie was created because we believe there is a need for a fresh new take on the traditional local bike shop and so we have tried to develop this concept with a completely open mind. Basically, taking all that is great about a local bike shop to the next level and then combining it with a world class online store that will keep prices low and the doors open 24/7. The result is Ireland�s newest bike shop offering all the benefits of online sales, but uniquely backed up by a friendly, modern local bike shop � big enough to offer a great range of products, but still small enough to care!�
A wide range of brands have been stocked at this early point in the shop�s evolution, with more due in the future. �We stock all types of Road, MTB, Hybrid, Cruiser, Fixies, BMX, Electric, Folding & Kids bikes from great brands such as Stevens, Forme, Principia, Haro, Swissbike, Creme, Create... the list goes on!,� he said. �The huge selection extends to clothing, parts and accessories with exciting brands like Altura, Castelli, Twin Six, Knog, Bicygnals, MonkeyLectric - too many to mention!"
Fitzsimons said that careful selection has been done in determining what brands to feature. �We are very focused on only stocking brands that offer more affordable, stylish, higher quality alternatives to the mainstream brands found in most Irish bike shops,� he explained.
�We offer a free bikefitting service on all bikes over �500, aswell as 6 months free servicing (ex-parts). For bikes below that price bracket we'll be sure to fit you out too and we offer an optional �25 service charge that will cover all servicing (ex-parts) for a whole year. Also, there�s free shipping on all orders over �75, with next day delivery in Ireland for most orders.�
The shop is located in the Old Church Hall in Stillorgan. On the opening day this coming Saturday (November 27th), there will be food and drink for those who drop in, as well as a special offer of 10% off all purchases on the day!
