Objective :
Learning and mastering the technique of climbing long alpine cols. With our SportActive coaches we look at your bike position, pedaling stroke, handle bar grip, and body movement. These are just some of the things that can make a big difference when climbing.
Summary :

* Only 1 hour airport transfer - or 2 hours ride from airport to Samoëns

Climbs include:
Col de Joux Plane : 700 m to 1710 m altitude. Legendary Tour De France climb. One of the most difficult with its 11 km and 8% average gradient. Sean Kelly achieved his fastest speed, 124 km/h in the decent from Joux Plane to Morzine (absolutely not recommended for you !) during one of his 14 Tour de France participations.
Col de la Ramaz : 13 km , 1560 m , 1st cat; and climb from Morzine (960 m) to Avoriaz (1800 m) : 14 km, 1st cat. End of the biggest Tour de France alpine stages, on 11th July 2010. Fantastic view on Mont Blanc!
Accommodation : village de vacances Les Becchi in Samoëns
Located in the Alps, in the Haute Savoie region. Samoëns offers an exceptional mountain environment standing out by its diversity : flat glacier valley, typical forests of mid altitude mountain, high mountain pastures, alpine summits…
Samoëns is one of the oldest authentic mountain villages, at 720 m altitude. It offers not only fantastic rides but also culture through its architecture, the botanic garden, the stonecutters….

The chisels of the stonecutters have fashioned the history of the village as much as the memories of the local people. Understand the spirit of places, caught in the reflections of a fountain, decipher the passage of time in the rough stone walls. The warmth of a hand or the richness of a voice make sense when authenticity becomes a universal language.
Les Becchi is located at 400 m from the village centre, on the edge of a wood with a mountain river. It offers a friendly mountain atmosphere : silence and good night rest are guaranteed. (unless you choose to spend the night in the Irish bar). Rooms are twin, on suite.
After the days training you can relax taking advantage of a full offer of leisure facilities: Spa centre with sauna, Turkish bath, indoor heated swimming pool (28°C!!), sport courts (volley ball, pétanque, ping-pong) etc. or have a stroll into the village centre and discover the botanic garden, the stone cutters
The chefs cook the local gastronomy, with fondue savoyarde (cheese fondue), crozets (type of pasta from the Savoie mountains) diots au vin blanc (local sausage cooked in white vine), tartiflette (patoatoes baked in the oven, with onions, bacon and cheese), raclette….Wine is included and served “à discretion” (as much as you wish).

* Access to leisure facilities and evening animations
* room cleaning and towel change on the second day
The package includes:
* airport transfers : at arrival, for your luggage ; at departure, for you, your bike & luggage

Price per person : (for 12 participants minimum)
• package without flight : 599 €
• full package with flight : 599 € + flight invoiced at cost + 15% administration fee.
You can book the flight yourself and save the 15% adm fee ; you must arrive in the determined airport with the same flight as the group or within a time space of 1 h 1/2 max if you fly from a different airport as the main group, in order to join the airport transfer.
