2001 Dublin Bay Funcycle on 13th May 2001. This year's cycle will start in

13th MAY - Conor Pass Challenge L'Etappe De Rás
Join in the Conor Pass Challenge on May 13t and
ride the same course as the 4th stage of the Ras. A polka dot jersey for the
first rider to the top. Sign on at the Earl Of Desmond Hotel, Tralee from 9.00am
start at 10.00am. T-shirt as sovenier for all riders. Refreshments served

27th MAY - The Munster Classic Tour
Limerick Cycling Club in conjunction with The
Munster Cycling Federation will be hosting The Munster Classic Tour on Sunday
27th May 2001. Three cycle rides of varying distance will be run from The
University of Limerick. The rides are:
* 100 mile tour of the whole county; * 50 mile tour
of east county Limerick; * 10 mile family leisure ride to Castleconnel and back.
The club is anticipating that several hundreds of
cyclists of all ages to participate, from racing cyclists to families with their
children. One of the main aims of the tour is to encourage youth participation
in the sport.
27th MAY - The Munster Classic Tour

100 mile route: Limerick, Foynes, Barnagh Gap,
Newcastle West, Bruree, Kilmallock, Knocklong, Herberstown, Limerick.

50 mile route: Limerick, Cappamore, Cappawhite,
Hollyford, Milestone, Inch, Rearcross, NewPort, Limerick.

10 mile family route: Limerick, Castleconnel,

17th June - WICKLOW 200 - WICKLOW GAP CHALLENGE
The Wicklow 200 Classic Ireland’s Premier Leisure Cycle Event
Its like a mountain stage in the Tour de France The Rewards Are
A Gold Medal; An Illustrated Certificate; and a Souvenir T-shirt.
The Wicklow Gap Challenge Covers the first leg of the Wicklow 200
Course.
The Rewards Are A Silver Medal; An Illustrated Certificate; and
A Souvenir T-shirt
These events are organised by the Irish Veteran Cyclists
Association.
They are Randonnee events not races i.e. go at your own pace.
Maximum Time allowed 13 hours ( 7 am to 8 p.m.)
