ŠKODA Ireland are delighted to sponsor the 2017 Rás na N'Og. The annual cycle event, aimed at junior cyclists, was first established in 2007 by the late Chairman of the Drogheda Wheelers, Peter Bidwell and current long serving secretary Gerard Campbell.

The 2017 Rás na n’og will take place on Saturday April 1st and Sunday 2nd at Bellewstown Racecourse for the third year in a row and is expected to draw large crowds to soak up the carnival atmosphere on the day.

Speaking ahead of the 2017 Rás na N’og, event organiser Gerard Campbell said: “Rás na n’og is hugely popular and continues to grow each year. It kicks off the cycling season and cyclists from all corners of the country flock to Bellewstown to take part.

We’re very proud to list a number of top cycling talent among our stable of previous participants and winners, including: Ryan Mullen who now cycles for Cannondale team at World Tour level; Eddie Dunbar, who rides for the Axeon team in the USA; and Michael O’Loughlin, who is the current under 23 road race champion and is riding with the Wiggins team in the UK.”

Also commenting, Cathal Kealey, PR and Sponsorship Manager at ŠKODA Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to be getting behind the 2017 Rás na n’og, a key event in the Irish cycling calendar. The Rás alumni reads like a who’s who of Irish cycling talent so we are excited to be lending our support this year.”
