(16/1/00) Roche has evidence which proves he's innocent - In an article in Ireland on Sunday  Stephen Roche who was one of 23 cyclists named recently in a Italian EPO investigation, said he went to Italy last week to get the evidence he needed to clear his name. With this evidence he could take substantial damages from The Sunday Times, Sunday Independent and Sunday Tribune but it could cost him £500,000 to take legal against these.  He does not have this sort of money, and he went on to mention the Albert Reynolds case.  He will be taking this up with his solicitor.  Roche returned to Dublin for Friday's LATE LATE SHOW.

(9/1/00) Roche dope papers revealed - THE files of an Italian sports doctor under investigation for doping athletes indicate that Stephen Roche, the 1987 Tour de France winner, took erythropoietin (EPO) in 1993.
