UPDATED GUIDANCE – 31/12/2020

The Government has announced the Republic of Ireland is moving to Level 5 of the ‘Living with Covid’ plan. Taoiseach Micheál Martin confirmed the new measures, which will begin to take effect from Thursday, 31st December.

Level 5 – Republic of Ireland

The key implications for Cycling Ireland’s approved events and activities are as follows.

Training

Outdoors: People may meet with one other household when taking exercise. No exercise group activities should take place. (There is an exemption for professional and elite sports).


Indoors: Indoor training is not permitted. (There is an exemption for professional and elite sports).


Matches and events

No matches or events to take place. (exemption: professional/elite/horse & greyhound racing can take place behind closed doors.)

Travel

Training should take place within 5km radius of your home. (There is an exemption for professional and elite sports).

Travel is permitted for work and essential journeys only.
