Have a look back 40 years, at the days when the first major cycle race of the season in Ireland was the 'Jack Woodcock' in the Phoenix Park, Dublin.

This video is taken at the 21st edition of the race back in March 1986. It features the Race Organiser Joe McCormack, the Commentator Paddy Fitzsimons and many great volunteers who gave so much time to the sport over the years.

Apologies for the picture quality. Although I re-published it at higher resolution to try improve it, the video was copied from a very old VHS tape. In saying that, some people may like to see this event from the past as there is not much video footage is available.
