The 80's was a busy time for the Balbriggan Cycling Club led by Oliver McKenna they ran a lot of races and this was a gem of a race. The short circuit was south east of the town and went out towards Skerries then turned left to the harbour, another left and up a short steep hill back to the start/finish area on Hampton Street.

The evening race was one hour long.
