2005 YOUTH ALL IRELAND TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

Witness to 38 of our futures stars all on track bikes and blessed by the weather, Sundrive Park was host to the Track Championships this year. The atmosphere was electric throughout the day with plenty of close finishes and a brilliant display of track craft by all. Best of all, the medals were equally shared by all four provincials with William Connolly of Western Lakes winning two titles, the U16 Sprint and Scratch and only losing the golden to Michael McAree of Emyvale CC in the 500m TT. It was also great to see a mini bus of young riders from Fermoy CC who won their fair share of medals.

A massive thanks to Liam Walker, Louis Moriarty, Tony Doyle, Evelyn Murphy, Brian Nugent, Dara O’Neill, Larry Farrell, Gene Mangan and Phil Collins who helped make the day run smoothly.

The track commission would like to thank Cycleways, Oneillcycles.com, Eurocycles, Cycle Superstore, Joe Daly Cycles, Wall Cycles and Stagg cycles, Bua Sports for their kind support in running this event.
