Publicising the next of our main classification sponsors for the 2023 edition of An Rás Tailteann.



Cáirde Rás Tailteann announces the return of City Break Apartments as the sponsor of the coveted points classification jersey for the 2023 edition.

Race Director Gerard Campbell noted “Cáirde Rás Tailteann are delighted that City Break Apartments have returned in 2023 to support and sponsor the prestigious points classification, a competition that reflects consistency of individual stage performances throughout the event”.

The riders that compete for this classification in An Rás have gone on to become household names on the world stage. Irishman Sam Bennett, as well as John Degenkolb and Mark Cavendish have all gone on to dominate as sprinters by winning the same classification in the most famous race of them all, Le Tour de France.

Cáirde Rás Tailteann is thrilled to announce a collaboration with Sport Ireland as the sponsor of the highly competitive, daily county rider's classification during the 2023 race.

This is a classification that has animated countless editions of An Rás, and is one of the most fiercely contested classification prizes of the event.
Sport Ireland is the authority tasked with the development of sport in Ireland. This includes participation in sport, high performance sport, anti-doping, coaching and the development of the Sport Ireland Campus.

Race Director Gerard Campbell on announcing this new collaboration commented “We’re delighted that Sport Ireland have chosen to align themselves with An Rás Tailteann in 2023. This is an acknowledgment of the important role this race plays in developing the sport of cycling in Ireland and developing domestic riders to an elite level”.
