After setting off from Cong, the riders will take in breathtaking scenery along the Wild Atlantic Way before they face the fast finish towards Miltown Malbay in County Clare. The penultimate stage will kick off from Ennis, Co Clare and take on 2 x category three climb’s before crossing the category one Wolftrap climb with less than 15KM remaining – will there be enough time to regroup before the finish in Mountrath, Co Laois? The final stage of Rás Tailteann 2025 will kick off in Kildare Town heading across the plains of ‘The Lilywhite County’ before entering Co Meath where again, the winner of Rás Tailteann will be crowned in Bective.
The 2025 edition of the race is again five stages and will take on over 760Km along the roads of The Emerald Isle, including 13 categorised climbs.

Visiting Team 4 – Good Guys Racing NYC - USA
Cairde Rás Tailteann is delighted to announce our fourth visiting team of the 2025 event: Good Guys Racing NYC, who return for their fourth consecutive year.
Team Manager, Tony Daly said “Good Guys Racing New York City return to Ireland to compete in the 2025 Rás Tailteann. This marks the team’s fourth year participating in the prestigious stage race, and excitement is high for what promises to be a memorable edition. The 2025 route looks dynamic, with plenty of opportunities for aggressive racing, something the team is eager to capitalize on. This year’s squad includes Maxime Richard, currently studying in the US and coming off a strong season in France and James Hilyer, who has posted consistent results across the American racing scene in 2024”
Team captain and Kenmare native Cormac Daly likewise shared his enthusiasm: “It’s the absolute highlight of our race calendar. The atmosphere and excitement the Rás brings to the Irish countryside is incredible. We’ll be going all-in to get up the road and fight for a stage win, though we know the level in Ireland is high right now.”

The team has just come off a block of racing at the Redlands Bicycle Classic in California, using the demanding stage race as preparation for the challenges of the Rás. There won’t be much time to rest—after competing in the New York City GP on Sunday, they’ll pack their bikes and bags and fly straight to Ireland, arriving Monday for what promises to be a hectic but unforgettable week.
Welcoming Good Guys Racing NYC back to the event, Race Director Ger Campbell said, “We are delighted to see our friends in Good Guys Racing NYC return in 2025.
