Cairde Rás Tailteann is delighted to announce that Bective Stud, Tea Rooms and Apartments will once again sponsor the coveted yellow jersey for the 2025 edition of Rás Tailteann. This marks their third consecutive year sponsoring the race’s most prestigious classification and their fourth year overall supporting the event, having first come on board in 2022 as sponsor of the Blue County Rider jersey. Their continued backing reflects a strong and valued partnership with Ireland’s premier cycling stage race.

Bective Stud, Tea Rooms and Apartments is a name well known in equestrian and hospitality circles, offering high-quality accommodation and facilities. Since acquiring the estate in 2016, owners Noel and Valerie Moran have passionately worked to restore Bective House and its grounds to their historic splendour. What began as a vision amidst a derelict site has since evolved into a vibrant hub that includes luxury self-catering apartments, an Equestrian Centre, and the popular Bective Tea Rooms, which opened in 2022.

Bective Stud is now home to some of Ireland’s leading thoroughbred racehorses, including Better Days Ahead, winner of the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in 2024. Looking ahead, the Moran’s plan to restore the period house and develop a new five-star hotel, creating a unique blend of heritage and modern luxury.

Having first partnered with Rás Tailteann in 2022, Bective stepped up in 2023 to sponsor the yellow jersey—a role they continue with pride in 2025. Their involvement reflects a shared commitment to celebrating Irish sport, heritage, and community.

The final stage of the 2025 Rás Tailteann will once again finish at Bective Stud, offering a stunning and unique backdrop for the conclusion of this year’s race.

Stage five will roll out from Kildare Town, and spectators can expect the race to arrive in Bective at approximately 2:00 PM, where riders will complete four laps of a 12km circuit—a slightly revised route from last year’s edition.

In addition to the elite action, the day will also feature youth racing hosted by Bohermeen Cycling Club, beginning at 11:30 AM, offering an exciting and family-friendly atmosphere from early in the day.

The winner of the 2025 Rás Tailteann will be crowned at Bective and presented with the George Plant Trophy, in what promises to be an unforgettable day.

Speaking about Bective Stud’s 2025 sponsorship, Noel Moran said: “We are honoured to continue our partnership with Rás Tailteann and proud to once again sponsor the iconic yellow jersey. Hosting the finish at Bective is always a special moment for us, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the riders, teams, and supporters to the estate for what will be a fantastic event on Sunday, May 25th.”

Ger Campbell, Race Director of Rás Tailteann, added: “We’re incredibly grateful to Noel, Valerie, and the team at Bective Stud, Tea Rooms and Apartments for their ongoing support of the Rás. Their commitment over the past four years has helped elevate the race, and we are thrilled to return to Bective for another spectacular finale in 2025.”
