Speaking about the appointments President of Cycling Ireland, Ciaran Cannon said:

"We are delighted to welcome these two exceptional women to the Board of Cycling Ireland. Their expertise, insight and commitment to our sport will strengthen our organisation at every level. We look forward to the valuable contribution they will make in the years ahead.

“Regaining a 50:50 gender balance on our Board reflects our determination to build a modern, inclusive and well-governed organisation that represents everyone who cycles in Ireland. The research is unequivocal. Organisations with gender-balanced boards deliver stronger governance and better decision-making. That is exactly the standard we are setting in Cycling Ireland.”
