ROCHE EIGHTH, DEIGNAN TENTH IN FRANCE

Nicolas Roche took the latest in a series of good results when he placed a fine eighth in the Espoir Paris-Mantes-en-Yvelines yesterday. The young VC La Pomme rider finished seven seconds behind William Bonnet (CC Nogent Sur Oise) and five others who were sprinting for the win. Philip Deignan finished second in the bunch gallop two seconds later, taking tenth, while Paídi O’Brien (21st) and Tim Cassidy (41st) also finished in this large group. 134 riders completed the 1.7.1 race.
