The Commission will be working towards a number of objectives such as the development of local riders in 2009, with a focus on Junior & U23 riders. In conjunction with Cycling Ulster, the Road Commission will hopefully be able to develop the sport of cycling in Ulster.
The Cycling Ulster Road Commission will be responsible for the selection of teams to represent Ulster in Road Racing.

What to wear and when to wear it,more scientific stuff like Hydration, Nutrition, how to set up your bike,i.e. tyre pressures, reach, seat height etc and many more etc’s after that. So, what is there to riding a bike? Well, have you ridden a bike hard for 20-30 mins? I mean totally flat out, maximum effort? Or what about taking part in an all day event, covering, say, 200 kilometers!
Can you cycle hard up a hill? No, not the Culmore Road! How about Mamore Gap or Kinnego Bay?? Don’t worry, none of us could do any of this at the start. We all had to learn and no better place than with a club of like minded cycling enthusiasts. We have an annual night out, some prize giving,a “Mechanics Night”, “First Aid Night” and even weekly e-mail reports that may even mention your name if you’re lucky! So, why not come along to Davincis on Wed. 11th March to find out more about cycling with Foyle Cycling Club.
