The race was run over 6 laps of a 14kms circuit. The C3's and C2's were given a few minutes handicap.

On lap 2 a few riders jumped away from the first group and had a decent gap.
|
However on lap 3 the scratch riders hauled everyone back in and started attacking.
|
By lap 4 an eleven man group had gone ahead and opened a substantial gap.
|
The leading group passing the finish line with one lap to go.
|

Going to the finish Matthew Walls jumped clear for an excellent win.
|
Sean O'Kane finished on his own taking second, this is the sprint for 3rd
|
The bunch would be sprinting for the minor places.
