Rás na mBan Highlights on RTÉ2 TV

For immediate release: 12th September 2026

Highlights of Rás na mBan 2026 will be broadcast on Ireland’s state broadcaster, RTÉ 2 TV at 1pm tomorrow, 13th September.

The half-hour show will feature highlights of all six stages of the event which concluded at Kilkenny Castle last Sunday, September 6th.

The event was filmed by InForm Sport Media for the show which features action footage and interviews from the five-day race around the roads of Kilkenny, Wexford, Tipperary and Carlow. It also features special interviews as the race celebrated its 20th edition in its current format and 40 years since the first international women’s stage race was held in Ireland.

“It’s always a wonderful event to film, but this year was particularly special, marking the 20th edition of Rás na mBan and 40 years since the first women’s international stage race. Seeing the riders line up where that first race began 40 years ago was a special moment and it was great to capture that history alongside the racing,” said programme producer and director Georgie Francis.

Following the transmission, the show will be available without geo restriction on the RTE Player https://www.rte.ie/player/.
