The village of Yellow Furze in Co. Meath hosted the 2025 Irish Road Race Cycling Championships. Great crowds turned out for a super race which ended in a close sprint between Rory Townsend and Jamie Meehan with Townsend winning the Elite and Meehan taking 2nd and claiming the jersey for first Under 23 rider. The first two, both awarded national champions jerseys.
The race was organised by the Navan Road Club & Yellow Furze Road Club in the lovely small village of Yellow Furze. The race incorporated the Meath Grand Prix and the Sean Nolan Cup which was presented to the winner Rory Townsend.
