Great site keep up the
good work Peter we are all very lucky to have someone like yourself
working on our sport.
|
||||||||

May be moving to Ireland
sometime in the future and quite reassured there is a vibrant and active
cycling community.
What a wonderful website in Irishcycling.com!! |
||||||||
|
Just a short note to
complement you on your excellent website.
I was very sad to hear of Paddy Sullivans passing. In my opinion he was a very under appreciated member of the Irish Cycling community. His schoolboy leagues offered excellent racing for many young riders and his handicapping systems always offered encouragement to novice riders. I know I benefited greatly from them at a time when a little encouragement was greatly needed and what little I achieved in the sport I would say is in some part due to his work. I appreciate the workload involved in updating the site but if you could set up a book of condolence on the site it would provide an opportunity for others like me to pay their respects. Keep up the good work. |
||||||||

Love the website! Mighty
Stuff......just came back to Killarney after 7 years in Santa Cruz,
California....great biking town it was.......looking forward to keeping
up with all the news in this site. Again great job....a few websites
claiming "brilliance" in the USA could learn a lot from
this...Nice One!

I really like your
website; it has a lot to offer.
If you ever go over to Oklahoma be sure and look Larry up at the Bicyle Shoppe in Shawnee. He is an experienced tourer and has toured a lot of Europe on his bike. |
||||||||
|
Great site! Thanks for
keeping things current & posting race stats right away. Feels like I
never left!
|
||||||||
|
The best website on
cycling in Ireland ! World class stuff - Malcolm.
|
||||||||

Super to see Ireland with
a site like this - it deserves it. I'd like to say hello to the many
friends I've made in Ireland over the years - first started racing
against the likes of Christy Kimmage! In the 1980s I managed IoM teams
in the Ras and revisited the race several times in the mid-90s as driver
for RTE's Roy Willoughby, but missed Andrew Roche's win. Would like to
be on the Ras this year, perhaps with the IoM team. Many memorable days
and nights. Good luck.

Great website. Keep us
informed on the success of Irish riders in road events this year please.
And is there any news on Morgan Fox? My wife and I have met him a number
of times abroad (Ghent-Wevelgem and GP Pino Cerami) and in England (Tour
of the Cotswolds). He's a great ambassador for Irish cycling - has he a
team this year?

I look forward to riding

provided the motivation.

Wonderful site! One of the
best sites I had ever seen: functional, well working links, nice
pictures and a splendid overview about everything important in Irish
cycling. Keep up the good work! I think that a lot of other (cycling)
webmasters could learn from you.

Everybody knows that this
is a great site. It would be a disaster if it were to close down. It is
costly and time consuming to maintain, and I hope that if Peter needs
help (financially or other) that we would all be prepared to come
forward and do our bit.
|
||||||||

I've cycled most of my
life. I visited Ireland a few years back and plan on a tour through your
friendly country. I wish all my cycling brothers and sisters many happy
rides to come. I would move there but work visa's aren't permitted to
Americans. If anyone is coming to Texas I will show you around.....PEACE
|
|
The content of the site is
great. But I have one gripe, please change the colours of the site. I
find it quite tough on the eyes when reading from the site for any
prolonged period.

I just log on to your sight, Peter and it just doen't seem so far away

I just wanted to add a
brief comment regarding the late Paddy Flanagan. I was asked by a
Canadian cyclist friend of mine who has spent some time racing in
Ireland in the not too distant past. He had made me aware of the passing
away of Paddy Flanagan and asked how well I knew him. My response was
that I knew Paddy best from the back as he went up the road away from
most of us. O'H with his comments filled in for those who didn't know
Paddy the skills he brought to the sport. Brian Connaughton spoke on
behalf of the rest of us in his description of the man and the cyclist.
Thank you Brian.

Hello Found your site
through cyclebase.nl. We are Rabobank fans, but interested in Mark
Scanlon progress Wish him well with Linda McCartney Really like your
page John
|
||||||||
|
Met you briefly in
Ballybohal...or someplace earlier this year, when you were going around
promoting your site. Great to see it doing so well, though I presume not
without hard work...if only other sectors in the cycling association
could see what it takes to develop something into a success...

||||||||

Used to ride with Sorrento
CC in the early 70s. Great to see the pics on the web site!
|

great site that I've
recommended to many friends, but I've never heard of most of the

It's interesting to be
informed of the club of my friends Tess and Terry Quinlan via this
homepage. As usual two Irish cyclist, Andrew O'Carroll and Brian Ahern
stayed with me and they did a lot of criteriums. Brian improved every
race. Andrew had more problems with the Dutch crits. Krind regards

Excellent website,great

even to race if I get fit enough!
|
||||||||
|
Great site, well laid out
and updated. Great for race reports, since the newspapers are sparse to
say the least. Keep up the good work.
|
||||||||
|
Cool site; didn't know
there was so much about Irish cycling on the web, and this site seems to
be the grandaddy of it all. One question though; I'm looking for a club
to join, to do regular spins and maybe the odd race, in my area. Do you
have any contact numbers for clubs around Rathmines?
|
||||||||
|
I am a friend of the
McQuaid family and of Stephen Roche
|
||||||||
|
Howyez, I just love this
site. You are doing a brilliant job. I have gotten to see some of the
old guys I used to race with and against in the old NCA. I even saw
Gabriel Howard. I spent a long break with him in the Ras one year on a
stage to Castletownbeare. I am still convinced he "soft
pedalled" most of the way!!!! How are you Howie? The other two
buggers with us just sat in. Anyway reading your articles still make me
"hold the wheel" and my hands sweat. Thank you Derek carroll -

Hi! What a great site .
Can you help me?I have just ridden the Gran Fondo Campagnolo in Italy. I
see it was run on the same day as the Wicklow 200.How can I get
information on this event . I assume it is run every year.I am on
holiday in the Wicklow area from July 29th. for a week and am staying
near enough to Wicklow to call in if there is a bike shop.W200 cant be
as hard as the fondo but sounds and looks like a real challange.I am 61
Years old but revel in a mountainous day out. I trust you reply to
messages so I thank you in anticipation Mick Hill Team Chevin
