MUNSTER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Blarney CC were forced in the interests of safety today to abandon part of the programme of racing scheduled by the club.

A bad crash in the A4 races today caused the abandonment of the Munster Championship. Unfortunately the incident left the club with no cover, so in the interest of safety, officials acted in the interest of all personnel at the event. The incident caused the two ambulances on standby to attend to the victims and take them to casualty.. Blarney CC would like to extend to both riders who were crash victims a speedy recovery and also a big thank you for the professionalism shown by the crews at the crash scene.

A number of events had gone ahead prior to the abandonment.
