Ulster Cycling Promotions Clubs as Organisers of the Tour of Ulster are pleased to announce that the 2011 Online Race Entry is now open. Cyclists are expected from all over the Cycling Ulster region, south of Ireland and at present interest has been shown by a couple of English teams.

Those who wish to gain entry to the event should visit the Tour of Ulster website on tourofulster dot com. The closing date for the event will be 18th April 2011

The Tour of Ulster, is the premier cycle stage race in the province, will take place on Bank Holiday May weekend, Saturday 30th April - Monday 2nd May 2011 in County Tyrone.

The race will follow its usual format, 4 stages over 3 days based in the south Tyrone area. With the time trial in Dungannon and the race covering most of the scenic routes in the area.

With the further announcements due shortly it expectedof Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council will be the main sponsor. With talks still ongoing and if the talks come to a favourable conclusion it will see Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council been involved in the 2011 Tour of Ulster for the second year running.

Garry Nugent from Coalisland who has remained in the role of Race Organiser, has again been working hard on a very interesting route and details of the race route is expected to be fully finalise in the next couple of weeks. Over the three days of racing, the Tour of Ulster cyclists will race approximately of 250 to 255 miles.
