A new documentary entitled Rás Tailteann - Rothai an tSaoil, telling the secret history of one of Ireland's greatest sporting institutions the Rás Tailteann cycling race is due to be broadcast for the first time on Wednesday the 26th of September 2012 on TG4 at 21.30. It will be repeated at 16.55 on Sunday the 30th of September.
Featuring first-hand accounts of a host of colourful and fascinating characters - riders and organisers, commentators, fans and critics, it tells the little known history of this remarkable event.

The documentary has also been selected to play at the Kerry Film Festival at 7pm at Siamsa Tire in Tralee on Thursday the 11th of October. In addition to this it will screened internationally at the Bicycle Film Festival in London (4th-7th of October) and in Milan (12th-14th of October).
