Cycling Ireland are delighted to announce the team that will compete in this year’s Rás Tailteann, the 5-day stage race hosted on the roads of Ireland from May 17 to 21.

Rás Tailteann will see U23 riders get an opportunity to showcase their talent under the guidance of U23 Programme Lead and DS, Martyn Irvine, and Dillon Corkery, who takes on the road captaincy.

The 2023 race will depart from Navan, Co. Meath, and will travel across the country and include finishes in Birr, Ennis, Castlebar and Monaghan before the final stage finishes in Blackrock, Co. Louth. Full route details can be found here: https://www.cyclingireland.ie/news-item/2023-rs-tilteann-route-announcement-/

Martyn Irvine said:

“Rás Tailteann provides an excellent development opportunity for the riders chosen. Our primary goal is to use the 5-day stage race as a learning experience, and I am looking forward to seeing what the team can do against a competitive field.”
