Rodger Aiken of Banbridge CC won the 3rd round of the Supercross Cup in Corcaigh Park, Dublin after an exciting dual with National Cross Champion and league leader Robin Seymour of Team WORC

Some pictures from the event taken by Peter Purfield

The gridded riders lead away from the startline

42 riders head off for an hours racing in Corcaigh Park just of the Naas Road in west Dublin.

Evan Ryan (Team WORC) takes the lead as they go into the single track, Anthony Doyle (U/A) goes down and looses a lot of time but gets back on and works his way back up through the field

Halfway through the first lap Rodger Aiken (Banbridge CC) piles the pressure on and Robin Seymour (Team WORC) and Ryan are the only two to stay with him

The race behind

On lap two - Aiken and Seymour have gone clear of the rest of the field

Now just one third of the way into the race - these guys going for third place are almost 1 minute in arrears

Seymour leads approaching the halfway stage

Peter McConville (Newry Wheelers) leads the chasers for third place

The two leaders with four laps to go

Crossing the finish line with three laps to go Rodger Aiken attacks

A very determined Aiken puts the hammer down

Seymour looks in trouble - but he is used to digging deep and getting back on terms

Starting the second last lap, the two are back together

Taking the bell for the last lap, Aiken attacks again and Seymour can not respond

Ryan Sherlock (SportActive) takes third place
