Some pictures from the event taken by Peter Purfield

The Veterans, Juniors and Ladies group start first

The Senior 3 riders, will have a job pulling back the 1 mins 30 secs gap

The Senior 2 riders start at 3 minutes

An finally the Senior 1 scratch group start at 4 mins 30 secs back

The leading vets group make the most of their advantage

The senior 3's

The S2 group

The S1 group is the smallest group of the nearly 200 starters

We move on to the Kyber Pass, this is were the action will happen, already on lap 3 some vets are going clear of the limit group

the rest of the limit group

The next group of Senior 3's

The S2 group

And the Scratch

On lap 4 - Three vets in the lead with two more chasing

The other groups are closing up behind

A few S2 riders go ahead of their group

The S1 scratch group

2 laps to go - The five leaders have joined up

The rest are all together now and one minute behind

The leaders with just over a lap to go

The S1 riders have got past the rest and are 46 seconds down

Eddie Lynch wins the Paddy Sullivan Memorial in the Phoenix Park in a time of 48' 30"

3rd, 4th and 5th finishers

The scratch sprint it out for 6th place

The scratch finishing only 12 secs down - their race time was 44' 12"
