THIS WEEKEND AS SPORTING CELEBRITIES FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY DESCEND ONTO DUNBOYNE FOR THE CYCLING EVENT OF THE YEAR!

Today, Wednesday 18th May, the organisers of the Dunboyne Cycling Festival are preparing for some of Ireland’s greatest sporting heroes to arrive in the Co. Meath town this weekend, for what promises to be this year’s greatest cycling festival and family event.

The festival offers something unique to those attending, while it is a cycling event there will be plenty going on for all the family, with a French Market, as well as live music, face painting for kids and a whole host of other activities. Organiser of the event, Declan Keogh said;

“The An Post Rás Sporting Legends Tour will be a fantastic addition to the Dunboyne Cycling Festival and we are thrilled to be running the event in Dunboyne again this year. Last year the event attracted over 4,500 visitors per day and perhaps even more importantly generated huge revenue for the town. This year while the cycling will be the focal point of the weekend, we are hoping that the festival like atmosphere will offer something for everyone – whether a family wish to take part in the event, have a picnic and enjoy the fun, support the cyclists or just explore what this stunning county has to offer!”

The An Post Sporting Legend Tour is a leisure cycling event which will start and finish in Dunboyne. This event gives cyclists of all abilities the opportunity to cycle alongside Irish sporting superstars. The 120Km route will appeal to the experienced cyclist, taking them to the heart of Meath countryside. There will also be a 50Km course as well as a 15Km Family route.

Take the opportunity to cycle alongside your sporting hero. For details and online entry see http://www.dunboynecyclingfestival.com
