Despite only being in it’s second year, the Giant’s Causeway Coast Sportive in association with Chain Reaction Cycles has become the most talked about sportive in Ireland. Places for this year’s event have filled up fast and with entries closing on Thursday 13th September 2012 time is running out to take on Northern Ireland’s flagship sportive.

Last year’s event set the message boards alight with raving reviews of the challenging routes on offer coupled with some stunning scenery along the iconic Giant’s Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland. Torr Head Road is still the ultimate challenge on this sportive and proved to be many cyclist’s nemesis, packing a 20% punch, 100 miles into the route!

This year’s event offers riders a choice of 3 routes - 35miles, 80miles and 115miles. With an entry fee of £35, entrants will get to cycle past some of the most spectacular scenery and famous landmarks Ireland has to offer including the Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills Distillery (Ireland’s oldest whiskey distillery) and the Glens of Antrim. After an amazing day in the saddle all riders are welcomed back for a bowl of hot pasta, tea and coffee and given a goody bag with lots of great goodies.

Visit the Giant’s Causeway Coast Sportive event website now to check out the 3 routes on offer and how you can enter onto the 2012 event - www.giantscausewaycoastsportive.com.
