Cycling Ireland is pleased to announce the continuation of racing action on the Zwift platform with a series of one-day Classics held on Saturday mornings.

The Cycling Ireland’s Zwift League, which concludes after 12-weeks on June 13th, has been Ireland’s largest sporting event throughout the Covid-19 pandemic with over 1,700 registered participants. Recent live broadcasts across Cycling Ireland social media platforms have proved popular with those seeking their fix of live sporting action, generating over 31,000 views per episode.

The new series of one-day Classics will start on Saturday, June 20th and see cyclists of all abilities test themselves in each of Zwift’s six Worlds – Innsbruck, Watopia, Yorkshire, London, Richmond and New York.

Four separate categories are available to choose from allowing male and female riders to compete against those of a similar ability. Staggered start times will remain in place to enhance participant's experience and enjoyment of the racing action.

Mid-week racing will continue with the Cycling Ireland Women’s Only race held on Wednesday’s at 7pm and a Sprint race, perfect for newcomers to the sport being held on Thursday’s at 7:30pm. The Alpe du Zwift challenge can be completed in your own time and involves a test of legs and lungs as you grind your way around 21 hairpin turns and 1,036 meters of elevation.
