Having finished fourth under 23 in the opening round in South Africa earlier this month, Connor McConvey will now line out in rounds two and three of the UCI MTB World Cup.
This weekend the Felt International rider will compete in Offenburg, Germany, an event which was voted best World Cup last year and which normally attracts huge crowds. He will then head to Houffalize next weekend, riding one of the most important MTB races of the year.
McConvey is looking forward to the opportunity to progress his career. "I am very nervous and excited about these races, but my form is good and I hope to continue my development and learn from every race,” he said.
“The team is happy with my results so far and I would like to consolidate my first round in South Africa where I was 4th under 23 and 36th overall.”
After Offenburg and Houffalize, the remaining UCI World Cup cross-country rounds will be held in Madrid, Mount Sainte Anne, Bromont, Champery and Schladming. The complete calendar is as follows:
