With the national championships now just over a month away, Robin Seymour showed good form in the Corcagh Park cyclo-cross race run last weekend.

The multiple Irish champion made his move on lap six of eight, surging clear of the rest of the field and building on his advantage between there and the finish.

Joe McCall was the only rider within two minutes of him at the line, coming home 1 minute and 39 seconds behind, while Philip Roche and Paul O’Reilly were 2 minutes 14 and 2 minutes 16 back respectively. Neil Delahye and Conor Cambell rounded out the top six.

Seymour and other riders from the South are expected to travel for the Ulster championships, which is taking place on the Kilbroney course in Rostrevor on Saturday. See Andy Pott’s comprehensive preview elsewhere on this site.
