Following on from his 11th place earlier this month, Belfast rider Connor McConvey had another good showing in the Maremma Cup series when he was 17th in round two this weekend.

The Felt International rider was once again the best under 23 rider in the race, topping that separate classification for the second successive weekend.

Round one victor Florian Vogel (Scott-Swisspower MTB-Racing) won again, beating his team-mate Nino Schurter (Scott-Swisspower MTB-Racing) by a minute and five seconds.

McConvey was 10 minutes and 15 seconds off the winning pace, recording that top 20 finish.

He is likely to be in action again in Italy next weekend. McConvey is based in the south of France this year and will compete for the Felt International MTB team.
