The final 101 kms stage sets off from Lough Lannagh holiday village in Castlebar
Within the first few kilometres a fiveman breakaway goes clear

The leaders are all working in the group and quickly open the gap to over 1 minute 30 seconds
The Stena Ireland team go to the front as the break is now threatening their yellow jersey
Marcus Christle feels it's a good time to go after the break and sails past the three Ireland riders at the front of the bunch
Christle picked up a lone Cycling Ulster rider who was ahead of the bunch

As the bunch heads into Westport, the blackboard tells the the leaders are now 2'15" up and Christle and co is 25" ahead of them
While the bunch looks fast going through Newport they are still loosing time
The bunch is now 2'42" down on the leaders, with Christle 1'7" ahead of them
The rider in blue Nathan Edmondson of the Dave Raynor team is now leader on the road, he was 1'19" down the GC in 5th place starting this morning
The Americans to the fore now and they quickly reeled in the break on the run back to the finish
The race is back together with 15kms to go
The race leader Sam Bennett of the Stena Ireland team looks comfortable
10kms to go and Christle keeps the pressure on
100m to the finish - it's a bunch sprint
It's a close finish - Dan McLay (Dave Raynor Team) gets it by the thickness of a tyre from Chris Worrall (IOM) and Joren Segers (Tempo BMV Veldhoven) 3rd
Nathan Brown of the Hot Tubes team wins the Corrib Gas Mountains competition and is congratulated by Castlebar councilor Michael Kilcoyne
Dominic Shils of the Dave Raynor team gets the Terry Dolan White Jersey for winning the 1st year junior competition
Sam Bennett of Stena Ireland team takes the green jersey for winning the Lough Lannagh Holiday Village Sprints competition
Marcus Christle of the Usher IRC gets a prize for the Most Aggressive rider
And finally Sam Bennett gets the M Donnelly Overall Winners jerseys for winning the 31st edition of the event
