The Mayor of Westport, Martin Kane drops the Start flag in Westport for the start of stage two

The conditions are not looking good today with light rain during the first part of the stage, a few riders try escape the bunch at 5kms

Another breakaway attempt at 10kms

The race is altogether as the leave Louisbourgh

Two riders on the attack at 20kms

As they head for Lenane, Philip Lavery (Steana Ireland) stops to fix his bike

The rain has stopped for a while

The race drops down the valley into Killary Harbour

The race is back together at 40k

Another group of riders managed to breakaway

The Yellow Jersey leads the bunch

The rain is back and this leading group is still away at 50kms

Two riders were dropped form the leading group as it went over the KOH climbs, the bunch is only 30 seconds behind

With about 30kms to go the race is back together

Another attack by two members of the BC West Midlands with the yellow jerseys team mate marshalling this move

Garda Sharon O'Donnell with the top three finishers on stage 2, Philip Lavery, (Stena Ireland) 2nd, Dominic Jelfs, (BC West Midlands) Winner and Jack Kirk, (BC West Midlands) 3rd
