The action starts early in the Junior race this is at 3kms on lap 1 of 7 lap race

A change at the front on lap 3
And the chase group has changed too
Race favourites Sean Downey and Philip Lavery are back with the bunch
The two lead groups have joined forces on lap 4
We have a new 4 man group chasing the 6 man lead group
The bunch has blown apart
This lead group is working well on lap 5
The chase group are loosing time, they are at nearly 2 minutes now
New to cycling Marcus Christie is riding exceptionally well, he leads the break through the finish area with 2 laps to go
The chase group looks very dis-organised
The leaders cross the line and get the bell for one lap to go
200M to the finish - Christie had been away at 2km to go and is caught as they turn the tight corner before the finish
Sam Bennett takes the corner wide and uses the footpath to keep his momentum and overtake Christie
100M to go - Bennett is looking good
He even has time to look around
Sam Bennett wins the Irish Junior Championships from Charles Prendergast in Midleton.
Mark Heneghan takes 3rd and Marcus Christie has to settle for 4th
