Louise Moriarty placed 59th on the final stage of the Tour du Grand Montréal in Canada on Thursday, crossing the line one minute and six seconds after Judith Arndt (High Road) soloed to an eight-seacond victory over the main bunch.
That attack and the resulting time bonus saw Arndt finish sixteen seconds clear of overnight leader Suzanne de Goede (Equipe Nürnberger Versicher) in the general classification. Moriarty ended the 2.1-ranked four day race in a solid 50th place overall, one minute and 54 seconds behind the German. She was fifteenth in the sprints competition and also took strong stage placings of fourteenth and nineteenth.
