Banbridge Cycling Club is delighted to announce an exciting kink up with Prentice BMW in Portadown. The David Prentice BMW dealership will provide a support car at eight road races in which Banbridge CC riders will be competing.
The support provided by the cat will enable Banbridge riders to compete in a number of quality events and ensure necessary assistance to riders during races. It is hoped that this new link up between Banbridge CC and Prentice BMW will help raise the profile of the road racing section of the local Club. Included on the list of races is the Banbridge Clubs Noel Teggart Race with David Prentice BMW keen to provide additional support at this prestigious event.
Speaking on behalf of Prentice BMW, Sales Dircetor John Meaney said: ‘We are delighted to get involved with Banbridge Cycling Club and look forward to supporting the riders at the events they compete in. The BMW support car will help provide support for the participating riders.’
A spokesperson for Banbridge CC said: ‘This is great news for the Club’s road racers. In the past it has been difficult to arrange for a support car at some of the major races, this new link with Prentice BMW will be a superb help. Hopefully more Banbridge riders compete in road events due to the availability of the car.’
The BMW support car will be in action for the first time this weekend at the Tour of Ards. The car will also provide support at the following races; Tour of Mournes, Noel Teggart, Newry 3 Day, Bobby Crilly 3 Day, Portaferry 3 Day, Tour of Armagh and the Ulster GP.
