With the start of Ireland’s biggest cycling race taking place tomorrow, IrishCycling.com is delighted to announce that event sponsor FBD Insurances have once again agreed to back Live! Updates from the Irish tour.
For the fourth year running, the company will support the coverage and thus ensure that we will be able to bring you blow by blow account from this year’s race. Coverage will begin from the drop of the flag this Sunday and continue for the duration of the eight day contest.
Viewers will be able to follow the action from their home or office, keeping up to speed with what is happening during each stage.
Live! Updates proved to be hugely popular when they were first introduced in May 2004, with readers from home and abroad tuning in each day. Updates were posted regularly from the moment the action started, informing site viewers of all the developments from that point until the finish. This proved hugely successful with daily figures peaking at 3,900 people/262,000 hits. The readership has grown considerably since then.
IrishCycling.com will continue that service this year and, together with results and extensive post-stage reports, will offer the most complete coverage available from the 2.2 ranked tour.
