  M9 Motorway Cycle
Cycle along the new M9 Carlow/ Kilkenny Motorway on the 4th September for a great cause! www.hiberniacyclingtours.ie Hibernia Cycling Tours (www.hiberniacyclingtours.ie) in association with the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation – CMRF (www.cmrf.org) are delighted to announce details of a very special charity cycle this September. Open to all cyclists no matter what your level or ability, the CMRF M9 Motorway Spin takes place on Saturday the 4th of September at 3pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to cycle the new section of motorway from Danesfort in Kilkenny to Leighlinbridge in Carlow before it opens to traffic. In doing so you will help raise much needed funds for the children’s Medical & Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin. All proceeds raised on the day will go directly to the Children’s Medical & Research Foundation (CMRF) Why not join in this unique event for this very worthy cause? You and your family can enjoy traffic free cycling on smooth motorway surfaces in a friendly environment. Whether you cycle daily or once a year everybody is welcome to participate for this worthy cause. Starting at 3pm sharp registration will be from 1.30pm onwards in Danesfort Community Centre on the 4th September. The distances available to cycle on the day are: 1.15km Family Spin 1 parent €25 with children €5 extra each 2.40km Novice Spin Beginners Spin €25 3.90km Sportive Kilkenny – Carlow - out and back spin €25 All proceeds raised on the day will go directly to the Children’s Medical & Research Foundation (CMRF)

We are looking cyclists' to participate in a sponsored Stage cycle fundraiser (€100 per bike) sponsored for Children's Leukaemia Unit Mercy Hospital Cork and Our Lady's Hospital for sick children Crumlin. The race will start from Killarney to Cork (aprox 50 miles)on the Sunday 5th September. Stage 1 from Killarney. Stage 2 Ballyvourney 11.30 and Stage 3 from Macroom 11 o'clock, Leaving Killarney 12 midday. Canada Life Into the West Cycle Challenge 11/12th Sept - This two day charity leisure event started in 1995 and has grown in popularity over the years to be recognised as one of the best organised events of its kind on the calendar. Over the past sixteen years almost one million euro has been raised for Breast Cancer Research. Thanks to this generous support all the participants can be proud of the fact that Prof. Michael Kerin and his team at the National Breast Cancer Research Institute recently made a world class research breakthrough which is expected to result in the development of a simple blood test to detect breast cancer. Italy Cycle in aid Crumlin Children’s Hospital Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin are looking for participants for their fundraising cycle in Italy from September 11th – 18th. The group will be based in Riccione on the Adriatic coast in Italy’s famed cycling region of Emilia Romagna.   Race Around Ireland
The Race Around Ireland is an Ultra-Marathon World Cup event and a qualifier for the Race Across America. Solo riders and relay teams will take on a 2100km lap of Ireland which takes in many rugged mountain climbs and stunning scenery. The race is a non-stop event which will see the racers riding through the night. Solo racers and 2-person teams will start from Navan, Co. Meath at 8pm on Sunday 12th Sept. 4-person and 8-person teams will start on Tuesday 14th Sept at 8pm.
