Hi Peter,Can you send me the result of Dad's memorial race held last Saturday as I did not find it posted on Irish Cycling web page nor on the Irish Road Club page. Are there any photo's of the race? Sorry to be such a pain but I thank you for your time. I will be home in November for the Road Club Dinner Dance on the 21st. Do you go to it? If so, I hope to see you there!!! Yours sinceerly, Carmel Kearns.

Dear Peter and team,

Your site is a terrific source of information on the Irish cycling scene and allows me to keep in touch with the progress of my pals in Ireland. Keep up the good work - it is much appreciated.

It was great to watch Mark Scanlon in the Tour of Switzerland recently, and was particularly exciting when he made a few attacks on the last stage.

All the best,

Peter

Hi,

I represent a company in Belfast developing a series for the BBC called Super-8 Stories. We aim to tell a history of Northern Ireland through the medium of super-8 and cine film. We need film from Northern Ireland, showing all aspects of life - we are particularily interested in old cycling footage. And if you don't have any, do you know someone who has? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello from Colorado. The weather here in Fort Collins reminded me of Ireland. 45F, overcast, windy. Great website, fun to see what's going on in Ireland.

Was visiting the website today to see if there is news about Daddy's Memorial race and was not able to find anything. Please let me know if there is a date set yet. No update for ages on the Irish Road Club site. I was very upset to learn of the death of Liam Horner RIP. My condolences to his wife and children.I will be over in November for the Road Club dinner dance on the 21st.Slan go foill, Carmel Kearns.

I have lived abroad since 1990 and have just discovered this web site. It's great to see some old faces and to new ones. I even recognized Gabriel Howard, but this time he was shouting with a microphone in his hand, the last time I saw him, he was shouting at me to get off his wheel.

Aloha,
I have to say that this is a superb web site. I used to #@*%! for Les Junes CC about a million years ago. I recognize some faces from my old club in a photo in the archive section. Rory Dowling, Liam McGlaughlin, Liam 'Lego' Kelly, Robby Murray and myself in the 1974 race in Clonee.

Great site Peter!

Hello Ireland,
Moved to Canada from Dublin... Haven't been outside to much as its been freezing cold (on average -20). Hoping to get some cycling done in the next couple of weeks if the weather gets a little warmer, am going to join a bike club here and do a few races.

Just a short note to complement you on your excellent website.
I was very sad to hear of Paddy Sullivans passing. In my opinion he was a very under appreciated member of the Irish Cycling community. His schoolboy leagues offered excellent racing for many young riders and his handicapping systems always offered encouragement to novice riders. I know I benefited greatly from them at a time when a little encouragement was greatly needed and what little I achieved in the sport I would say is in some part due to his work. I appreciate the workload involved in updating the site but if you could set up a book of condolence on the site it would provide an opportunity for others like me to pay their respects. Keep up the good work.

Super to see Ireland with a site like this - it deserves it. I'd like to say hello to the many friends I've made in Ireland over the years - first started racing against the likes of Christy Kimmage! In the 1980s I managed IoM teams in the Ras and revisited the race several times in the mid-90s as driver for RTE's Roy Willoughby, but missed Andrew Roche's win. Would like to be on the Ras this year, perhaps with the IoM team. Many memorable days and nights. Good luck.

Everybody knows that this is a great site. It would be a disaster if it were to close down. It is costly and time consuming to maintain, and I hope that if Peter needs help (financially or other) that we would all be prepared to come forward and do our bit.

Great pics of the recent race in Dunlavin.
Some some old mates getting a gruelling.
Keep up the good work.
